Aion (formerly called GAC New Energy) is a Chinese electric vehicle marque of Guangzhou Automobile Corporation introduced in 2018 as a sub-brand under 2020 as a marque.
History
Aion was introduced as an electric vehicle sub-brand under GAC New Energy in 2018 and was shown to the public in November with the reveal of the Aion S at Auto Guangzhou.[1] In November 2020, two years after the introduction of the Aion brand, it was announced that Aion would become a marque under GAC Group, replacing GAC New Energy.[2]
